God created this world and gave mankind everything, but due to the sin of disobedience of our first parent, Adam and Eve, He made mankind suffer and toil to live. And over the years we have seen how man toiled and still does to take care of himself and his family.
God also blessed each person with talents to live accordingly and with this man now has become so powerful that he can do anything with God-given wisdom and knowledge and thus gaining reputation, money, fame and comfortable life. But for how long? For when man sin’s God lavishes on him punishment in order to repent and come back to him.
Whilst we all cater to the good life that we enjoy with God’s grace in this place where we earn our daily bread, by educating our children, leading a good life, both spiritually and socially, our hearts bleeds to see what’s been happening in this beautiful island, when their own people revolt against their rulers and have put the country into turmoil.
As a Catholic who enjoys this religious freedom in this country through the benevolence of the Ruling Family and its citizens, for whom we pray continuously week after week at all masses, yet, we might feel uneasy and say to ourselves, that God is not hearing our prayer.
But, let us keep faith and trust in the Lord, who have blessed this country with prosperity and tranquility will bring in peace between those working for harmony. Let us all as one big family of our parish of Sacred Heart, pray earnestly not for ourselves but for the people of this peace loving country that God may open their hearts to listen to one another and come out of this crisis with mutual and loving understanding.
Let this be our prayer intention daily during this season of Lent, pleading to the Father to bless Bahrain and its entire people and once again restore that peace, peace only which HE can give. |
